Sauteed Mushrooms

P1050229Oh, I could eat the entire pan of these mushrooms all by myself!

They are so delicious and a quick, easy, and delicious side dish that goes well with many different meals!

  • 1 package baby portabella mushrooms
  • 1 small onion, sliced into thin rings
  • 1- 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Sea Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 Tbs. butter
  • 1 Tbs. oil
  • small pinch of sugar

Wipe off the mushrooms. Give them a rough chop. Slice the onions into thin rings. Mince the garlic. Heat the butter and oil in the saute pan. Add the mushrooms, onions, garlic. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add just a small pinch of sugar. Cover with a lid to allow the mushrooms to ‘sweat’ on medium heat until they are soft. Should take approximately 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
